• As part of our continued reorganization, the Wheeling Association of Roleplaying has ceased to function as a business effective September 30, and a new entity known as We Are Roleplayers has taken its place.  In the coming weeks and months there will be other subtle changes to follow, but nothing is different with regards to our service to you.  The new WAR will continue to host great LARP events, and will maintain relationships with our partners such as the White Tower Gaming Conventions to help sponsor great activities outside of the realm of LARPing.  Thank you for your continued support!

From dark vampiric covens hidden deep within the forest to a Locatha war brewing, this shire has seen its fair share of problems. Local nobility and even the Count himself has admitted that any adventurer that comes carving a name for themselves out of Lumberton ’s strife are bid welcome as heroes in this frontier. So come, pull up a chair and grab an ale, for tomorrow the fate of Lumberton Shire will be made by those gifted few who have the power to fight!

• The Reclamation of Galavast stands out in the history of the land, silent testimony to the perseverance and courage of the people of The Shadowlands and of Stonegate.  Yet despite the seeming peace, many evils still haunt the green leafed land: the Traveler's Stone glows a sinister red, the Valley of Bones leers as a constant threat, and pockets of Undead roam the land.  Ghosts of the fallen haunt the living.  Merchants attempting to restore their once prosperous trade face unrelenting attacks by Miydrandan Dark Elves, Chaos and Death Elementals, and the less strategic, but just as deadly, forces of Orcs, Rocs, and Trogs.  Who will stand against these ever-present threats? Who has the courage? The will? Do you?

• We were asked to point out that WAR does not allow weapons constructed with alternate materials, or alternate core materials.  If a weapon is brought to a game which is not constructed to specifics listed in the NERO 8th Edition Rulebook, it will not be allowed in-game.  WAR also reserves the right to cut open any and all weapons that our Weapons Marshals deem to be inappropriately constructed.  Thank you!
• Announcement: We are implementing a new WAR Estate System to be play tested starting June 1, 2007.  The playtest will be in effect until the end of the year, in which it will reviewed and voted on to either keep or be replaced.  Stay tuned - we'll be posting the new system within the week!
