THE BLUE DIAMOND
OFFICERS
Founder Caldwell Hess (deceased)
ORDER SYMBOL
A blue diamond worn upon the cheek of the member in the form of a Spirit Mark. Members are responsible for maintaining this mark themselves, and those without it will be treated as outsiders.
CHARTER
Purpose of the Brotherhood:
The
Blue Diamond is a mercenary group of adventurers that hire themselves out to
perform specific contracts.
Requirements
for Joining:
New members must successfully complete a contracted mission under the guidance of a member. Each new member will be attached to an existing member who will act as their teacher in the ways of the brotherhood. This teacher will have no specific power over the pupil. Any properly initiated member can in turn initiate a new person.
The Laws of the Brotherhood:
1. Members shall never take a contract that they cannot fulfill, and they will never back down on a contract once the terms have been agreed upon. Contracts should be written out if possible, but verbal commitments are just as binding once the terms have been agreed upon. Guile or vagary on the part of the hiring party will instantly nullify any contract. Each member is responsible for his or her own actions while fulfilling a contract.
2. All Members shall assist any other member whenever possible, and members that work together on a contract shall split any and all reward gained from loot and/or payment as agreed upon by them. When given the choice, members will always work together rather than work with others outside of the group.
3. Members that break either of these laws shall be hunted down by the other members of the group and will have their diamond removed, breaking all association with brotherhood.
As the founders of this group, we do hereby pledge to follow the laws of the land to the best of our ability. We will not harbor criminals, nor shall we have provisions of our charter, either secret or through vagary, that are contrary to the wishes and interests of the King and his subjects. We shall never harbor rebellious elements and we shall always be forthcoming with information concerning the safety and security of the land and the people, both noble and common. To these things we pledge ourselves, and all of those that follow our cause as members of this order.
