CHARTER

Rules:

1.  All members who are craftsmen will sell their goods to other members at cost.  Members will not resell any goods purchased in this way for intentional profit or gain, and should only buy items that they will personally use.

2.  During market days, all members who are present will meet at a local alehouse to drink and share stories with the other members.  This meeting will take place at some point before the end of the market day.  All members must attend this meeting, and each must tell a story.  Local Bards should be asked to sit in whenever possible so that they can commit some of the more interesting stories to paper, effectively recording the deeds of the order and its associates.

3. Members who are present are encouraged to adventure together as a unit at least once per market day.

Purpose:

Our purpose is to provide a group for adventurers of all ages who just want to adventure.  The group has no political or moral code of behavior, except that members must follow the laws of the land.  Individual members can pursue politics if they want to, but the group will never allow itself to be used as a tool for the advancement of any political cause.  The cohesiveness of the group is solely based around adventure.

As the founders of this group, we do hereby pledge to follow the laws of the land to the best of our ability.  We will not harbor criminals, nor shall we have provisions of our charter, either secret or through vagary, that are contrary to the wishes and interests of the King and his subjects.  We shall never harbor rebellious elements and we shall always be forthcoming with information concerning the safety and security of the land and the people, both noble and common.  To these things we pledge ourselves, and all of those that follow our cause as members of this order.

Membership:

The Tilted Mug will accept any law-abiding person as a member.  Each member must be inducted into the group by one of its founders - Fooz Coalbaron, Thain Ironhelm, or Falgar Shinglefoot.  If a member undeniably violates the rules of the group, it is the responsibility of the founders to publicly announce that members' removal from the group.  Other than for the purpose of inducting new members and removing members, the founders will have no special power over other members of the group.
