WHAT IS LIVE ACTION ROLEPLAYING?

 

Live Action Role Playing is an entertainment medium that offers its participants the opportunity to become the heroes and/or villains of legend and lore that they often do not get the chance to become in real life.  Players adopt a whole new persona, or character, which they literally become for the duration of the game.  This character enters a realm of fantasy in which they are often exceptional in their skills and abilities.  He or she is then subjected to interaction with other characters as well as plot-driven story lines, giving each person the opportunity to play out their role.  The point is to create a surrealistic fantasy realm in which the actions of the character are paramount in determining the course of the story line.

 

In the NERO International Tyrran Setting, the action is as live as it can be.  The campaign is set within a medieval fantasy world in which players can become the heroes and villains that they have always read about.  Light-weight, padded PVC weaponry allows for a fully interactive combat system.  Magic spells and alchemical concoctions are delivered via small bird seed packets, and all of the participants dress the part.  At NERO we have a continuing story line that offers players the chance to travel to far away realms by visiting other NERO chapters in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Boston, New Brunswick, and many others.  There are over 35 NERO International chapters throughout the United States and abroad.  The action and adventure are non-stop, and we give our players the chance to be all that they can't be at NERO.
