TRAVELING PLAYERS
WAR Players
If you are planning on visiting another NERO International chapter, you must e-mail the office at least one week prior to the event date in order to have your character record forwarded. It is the player's responsibility to send an e-mail that contains their player name, character name, e-mail address, name of the destination chapter, date of the event you will be traveling to, and the e-mail address to which the character is to be sent. When the record is sent to the destination chapter, a copy will also be sent to the player. In all cases you should print a copy of this e-mail and take it along with you to the destination chapter in case there are problems.
Visiting Players
Players visiting NERO Ohio or NERO West Virginia from another NERO International Chapter can either have their sheet e-mailed to us from a member of their home chapter's logistics team, or they can present us with two identical hard copies of their printed character record at check-in. All incoming characters will be played at the build total listed, as we are not permitted to update characters from another chapter. Build points that are spent in purchasing skills that are not in play at NERO Ohio and NERO West Virginia can be respent by the visiting player for the duration of the current event only. Valid NERO International characters will be accepted, but characters from other larp game systems will not be considered valid for play in the Tyrran campaign. Visitors can NPC without any need for sending their character record to us, and will follow all of the rules and guidelines as outlined for local chapter NPCs. For more information, please see our Local Rules Addendum.
Incoming Items
All Unrestricted items from a valid NERO International chapter will be accepted without restriction so long as they are on printed tags and have the item name (must be an official NERO International item that can be created by PCs in the 8th edition rule book and/or the official NERO International Formal Magic Rules) listed on them. In addition, each tag must have the chapter of origin, date of issue, expiration date, transferability, and issuing staff member listed on them. In the case of Formal Magic Components, these must also contain the valid NERO International identification number for the component in question. In addition, all incoming tags must have a unique identification number for the purposes of tracking the item. Tags that have information that is contrary to standard national policy will be disallowed and confiscated if they are discovered in game play. This would include tags with non-standard abilities as well as tags that are missing any of the required information. Hand-written tags and/or those with a transferability other than Unrestricted will never be accepted, regardless of the number of signatures that are present on them. We cannot, according to NERO International policy, retag or alter existing tags from another chapter in any way.
