Announcements 5/30/03
  • Karin Nalepa has been offered and has officially accepted the position of Regional Director of the Columbus area!  She'll be working closely with the WAR Office in the coming weeks to help our advertising efforts in the region, and she'll also be heading the staff and plot teams for the area.  Congratulations, Karin!
  • With regards to the event this weekend, we would like to ask that players bring their own food along with them and that they make their best effort to remain on site for the entire event.  We feel that by doing these things we can all help to make the event better.  We do not want to discourage anyone that has a prior commitment, and we have made plans for late arrivals, but the more we have everyone on site during the event the better.  Thanks for helping us out with this issue!
  • Please keep in mind that the Capture the Flag competition is for fun, and that this is our first run at this type of event.  Jennifer Janson will be marshaling the event.  She has final say in any disputes, and can amend the posted rules at any time during the competition at her discretion.  We don't expect that this will be necessary, and feel that everything is going to run smoothly and that the entire affair should be loads of fun for the people involved.  We plan on learning from this event and running this style of game in the future, so make sure you send us your feedback

Web Site Additions 5/30/03

  • We have altered the Capture the Flag Rules to reflect several questions that we have been asked over the past few days.  The revisions were mostly minor in nature, and we are very excited about the event!  The main points of change were:
  • - Clarified that the use of a component bag while casting formal is purely for role-play, and that there is no limit to the number of components that can be used.
  • - Clarified that no coins will be used for any purpose.
  • - Clarified that each player will play one of his existing characters.
  • - Clarified that Alterations and Transformations can be used, and added the amount of extra victory points awarded for defeating an Altered or Transformed character.
  • - Clarified that there will be a Full Reset of skills at 2:00 am on Sunday Morning.  This is when the game day will officially change.
  • - Clarified the process for resetting and the spirit of the rule.

  • Due to request from players, this weekend's Capture the Flag has been expanded to include Sunday afternoon!  We'll be playing all night long, with no break!  The cost for the entire event will be $30 per person regardless of ratio, and there will be no door fee!  The event will not count against anybody's ratio, and we encourage everyone to come out to PC this game - it's gonna be a great time!  The event will start at 10:00 am and run until 5:00 pm on Sunday.  For a complete listing of rules, follow this link.
