Announcements 7/23/03

• NERO International has just announced the approval of a latex weapons play-test!  Latex weapons have a great look and feel, and should help to improve the atmosphere of the game greatly if we can explore the possibility of using them at our events!  We are currently in negotiation with Games-Online to iron out the details of purchasing their weaponry for use by our players, but if you would like to look into buying the weapons yourself you can check out their site here.  To see the official public announcement regarding the play-test, follow this link.

• A belated congratulations to Bill Tobin for passing his NERO Rules Marshal test!  Bill becomes the latest addition to our staff of Rules Marshals, and we are very excited to have him aboard!

• Made some minor adjustments to the format of the new Goblin Stamp Needs page.
• Added a link to News Archives from the Announcements page.  We will be keeping all of the news that is put out in any given month in this archived format so that you can refer back to it at any time!

• Posted some new Origins pictures!  Check them out on the Pictures page!
• Rearranged the Goblin Stamp Needs page, and added a link to it from the main page of the site!

• We are pleased to announce that Matt Armstrong has been offered and has accepted the position of Regional Director of the Cleveland, Ohio area!  Matt and his team will be working to get campsites and events running in the region, and they'll be helping to grow NERO Ohio in the process!  Congratulations, Matt, and welcome aboard!
• We have booked a Rockcrusher Forge event for the weekend of July 25 - 27!  Check it out on the Event Calendar.
• Our new and highly anticipated Erlunn Elf Culture Packet is now available!  Written by Jennifer Janson, Mark Krupinski, and Mike Ennis, this 37 page write-up is full of all sorts of great information and role-play tips to help bring your Erlunn character to life!  Check it out here!

Web Site Additions 7/8/03

• Don't forget this Sunday, July 6 is the Slate Run Mod Day!  Newbies get in for free, and we'll provide the costuming for them so there's no excuse not to come!  We hope to see everyone there!
• Origins was AWESOME!!!!!!  We had a great time, and thanks to NERO International and the folks from NERO Central Ohio for all their help.  We had a lot of players from NERO Ohio show up and give their support to the effort, and we really appreciate their dedication!  We'll be putting up some pictures, soon!
